Love and family | Newcastle Family photographer, Hunter Valley Family photographer

If I’ve ever seen love + family – it’s right here in these photos.  Such a special bond between them all and you can feel it.

This family have gone through so much together and these photos represent their precious special time they had with their beloved Dad before he left this earth all too soon.  When I had the phone call to ask if I could photograph their family as ‘Dad wasn’t well’ I knew we had to make this happen quickly.  I have unfortunately (or perhaps we could look at this and say fortunately) had these phone calls before and I know they are incredibly special photoshoots and need to happen NOW!
When I arrived I could see the grandaughters had so much love for their Grandad and we were able to create and capture their love and affection in these images.

It’s in times like these that I know with all my heart, that these are going to be the most treasured images for this family.

Photographs mark a moment in time.  A time of laughter, love, emotion and connection.

I encourage you all to think about what photos like this mean to you.  Do you have beautiful images of your family that you treasure?  Ones that you couldn’t live without?

No wonder everyone says the first they would grab in a house fire is their photographs.  They truly are the only tangible memory we have of our loves and lives gone by.

I consider it an absolute honour to photograph these beautiful families and provide them with lifelong memories of their special Dad. xx

FAMILY LOVE STORIES | Newcastle Family Photographer, Hunter Valley Family Photographer, Lake Macquarie Family Photographer, Maitland Family Photographer

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve photographed this beautiful family. The first time was when Rach was pregnant with their second daughter, and then all the special moments and years after that.
I must be up to 8 or 9 times now and every photoshoot has been different. I truly love becoming the ‘family photographer’.

Each time there’s been either a new addition to the family, a house move or a renovation. And the kiddos have grown so much each visit.

I feel incredibly privileged to be asked back, time and time again, to capture their treasured memories of their kiddos growing up.

I absolutely love walking into Rach’s house and seeing my artwork all over her walls and sideboards – framed prints, canvases, acrylics, albums – it makes my heart sing. She values these photoshoots and these memories so much, she displays them throughout her house amongst her other beautiful art pieces.

Here’s the thing, the last photoshoot she thought she’d just get the USB of images. After careful consideration she said “I will only leave the USB in the drawer and I won’t get to enjoy these photos” So she had a change of heart and ended up ordering prints of these gorgeous images. She had tears when she opened the package, oohing and ahhing over her gorgeous kiddos in PRINT!

That my friends, is what it’s all about. Print your images, put them on your walls, get beautiful canvases and acrylics that become a piece of art on your walls, not images only scrolling around on your computer or worst on a USB in a drawer.

How many images are sitting on your computer or a hard drive or your phone that you have never printed? I’m completely guilty as charged here!! The only time I print my photos is ones of my kids for my Mum + Dad.

There is going to be a lost generation of photos. How many of us have treasured photos from many years ago of our grandparents that we can actually flick through an album or even a shoe box and touch and feel these images. Oh I can smell the old photographs at my Nana’s house now. I spent hours as a little girl going through all the old black and white images and wanting to know who these people were. In 40 years time computer’s will be completely different and you probably won’t be able to access all these photos you have on hard drives. Let’s think about floppy discs! When was the last time you accessed one of those??

Please people PRINT your photos!!

Almost the Brady Bunch | Newcastle Family photographer, Central Coast Family Photographer

I loved photographing my gorgeous friend and her family.    Such a special occasion!  Here Mum + Dad have been 50 years married = 5 wonderful children, 13 gorgeous grandchildren and many wonderful travels across the globe and still going strong!  When I think about vitality I think about Pat and Mark – they have escorted dozens of people overseas to some absolutely wonderful places and still travelling.  They have so much energy and have the most fabulous time – I want to be like them when I grow up 🙂
This would be one of the biggest extended family photoshoots I have done and it went like clockwork!  Beautiful afternoon, so glad I could capture these special moments with you xo
